And if you participate in the axe-throwing or archery, you need sturdy footwear.

THE JERSEY BOYS AT THE NEW THEATRE, OXFORD – January 2027

The Committee are researching a possible trip to a matinee on Wednesday 27 January. If this appeals please contact Chris.

It tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, four working class guys from the wrong side of the tracks who went on to dominate the American charts in the 1950s and 60s.

A 17th Century Christmas with Oxford Waits is Wednesday 16 December

The original Oxford Waits performed during the reign of Elizabeth I and reached their heyday in the 17th century – the era of the English Civil War. As professional musicians, they supplemented their income in other ways; some ran alehouses and gave dancing lessons in the city. A country dance tune called the Oxford Waits has survived from the early 18th century.

CONSTITUTIONAL CHANGES REGARDING MEMBERSHIP FEES AGREED AT THE AGM AND TO COMMENCE 1 JANUARY 2026

Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December each year

Free membership for over 80’s to be discontinued

Existing Honorary members to pay £5 per annum

All other members to pay £10 per annum

New members joining pay £10 up to 30 June, and £5 from 1 July to 31 December

Membership fee to be agreed anually at the AGM

Swimming Update

Spiceball’s swim cards for regular swimmers now costs £48.20 for adults aged 18-66, and £31.50 for those aged 67 and over. This entitles you to ten swims over a three month period and can be used for entry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Available from Reception.

Should you wish to enjoy a sauna following your swim you must ask on entry at reception for a combined ticket which will cost you £10.10.
